Chicken and Pork Adobo in Yellow Ginger and Soda

2 tbsp vegetable oil
4 pcs yellow ginger, peeled and sliced
6 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 kg pork kasim, cut into 1 inch pieces
1/2 kg chicken, cut into 5 pieces
2 cups clear white soda
¼ vinegar
5 pcs bay leaves
2 tsp black peppercorns
2 sachets 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
1 pc siling panigang, sliced on an angle
Servings: 4-6
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Heat oil in a large pan and saute yellow ginger and garlic for 1 minute. Add pork and cook for 5 minutes. Add chicken and cook for another 2 minutes.
2. Pour clear white soda, vinegar, bay leaves, and peppercorns. Season with 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®. Bring to a simmer and cook until meat is tender and sauce has reduced.
3. Stir in siling panigang and remove from heat. Transfer into a deep dish plate and serve.
