Beef Mechado

INGREDIENTS:
500 g beef camto (flank steak), cubed
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 pcs calamansi, juiced
1 - 8g sachet MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pc small onion, small diced
1 cup water
1 cup tomato sauce
1 pc medium potato, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 pc small carrot, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 pc medium red bell pepper, medium diced
1 - 8g sachet MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
Servings: 2-3
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Combine beef, soy sauce, calamansi juice and MAGGI MAGIC SARAP and set aside.
2. Sauté garlic and onion in oil for 2 minutes. Add beef with the liquid. Cover and bring to simmer.
3. Add water, bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 1 ½ hours or until beef is tender. Add water as needed to barely cover the beef as it simmers.
4. Add tomato sauce, potato, carrot and bell pepper and continue to simmer until sauce has reduced to thick consistency.
5. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP. Check seasoning.
6. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve warm.
